The platform expected up to 10,000 concurrent users during peak periods, but its infrastructure was not designed to handle that level of traffic reliably. The application and database were running on the same server, which meant they could not be scaled independently or placed behind a load balancer. The infrastructure was also hosted in the Ohio region despite most users being in India, adding latency to the experience.
